Betty & David,

I just read your posted family line and notice that we share some of the
great, greats. My line starts with Joseph, Lewis and William like your and
veers off from there. Did you know that Lewis Milliard Baird died in a
civil war prison camp in North Carolina? It is reported that Jefferson
Davis personally offered him a pardon if he would pledge allegiance to the
south. He refused to do so (which would have meant being able to go home)
and died in the camp.
