Greetings to all:

I want to explore the family of John Baird JR. a little more in depth.
Later on some of this family spelled thei name Beard as well.--So---I'm
sending to
both groups.

John Jr. is the son of OLD JOHN and MARY.bn. Hunderton,New Jersey
He was bn. 28 Jan.1707 and md/ Avis -----who survived him and died 6 Feb
1747.
Only William is mentioned in his fathers will,but it mention wife and
children,so , there were others.,believed to be Andrew bn. 1737 in
N.J.md.1st.probably Mary (polly) Smith
and had children William bn. 24 Jan. 1771 and Avis bn. 11 Sept. 1773
md.John Wood
24 Sept 1793 d. 24 Dec. 1840William md. Jane Hunt. He d. 3 Oct.
1855.Barren,Co. Ky. William was bn. in Salisbury, N.C.He and Jane raised
six children ,the 1st. three probably bn. there Mary, Elizabeth and
Andrew and the next threein Barren,Ky.
Obediah,Gersham and Sarah.,

Andrew next,md. Hannah Green ,who was also pre viously md. probably to
her cousin, Oliver.They had a son Oliver unmd. and daughters Martha
md.George Reed,and Johanna md Abel Hunt.
Hannah and Andrew had a dau. Hannah md. Moses Cox.
Sons:
Andrew Stokes Jr. md. Margaret Elizabeth Smith,Josiah md. Mary Sutton,
and Jeremiah (Jeremy) md. Mary Pennington.
all bn. Rowan,N.C.

Hannah d. 2 April 1811.
Most of these children and their spouses moved to Barren,Co. KY.abt.
1800.
Josiah and later Jeremy went to Smith,Co. Tenn.and seemed to stay in
touch with
each other.and the Barren Co. Ky. group (land records etc.)

Now I'm going to build a little straw house and see how many can blow it
over ,or build it of brick.

So far I have only mentioned Andrew and his family.,son of John Jr.
In addition to William and Andrew ,most agree that tyhere were other
children;:
MARY,JOHN ALEXANDER and ELIZABETH

Birds of a feather flock together.
In addition to the families i have previously explained,
I now have land records of John and Alexander owning land toget her in
Barren,Ky.
F,B.C. says : If this is correct then the John and Alexander of Tenn. and
Ky. probably belong here.
I think they do .brothers,sisters and half brothers and sisters.

I am ,However perplexed abt. another Andrew therebn. 1770. md. Molly
(Mary)? and had eight children:
William, Andrew,Alexander,Isabel,(Ibby),Margaret (Peggy),John,Mary
(Polly)
and Betsy (Elizabeth) THis Andrew had a will ,Barren, Co. Ky. 3 Feb. 1827
and May ct. 1827,Executors: Two oldest sons Willim and Andrew.
Can anyone help me with this one., Or the straw house I just built?
