Thanks Gloria:

Bedent ,son of Andrew and Sarah could very well have been involved in the
Boston tea party.

This Bebent never did go to Ohio.It was his son Bedent Jr. that md Sarah
Britton, and he didn't wait to go to Ohio until his father died. He had
nothing to do with the estate.
It was his younger brother and his mother,Samuel and Hulda.
Bedent sr. bn. N.J.,probably md. his first wife there and had
children, then went to N.Y.,Perhaps even stayed in Westchester ,Co. prior
to going to Schoharie Co.
His younger brothers Ezekiel and Samuel, were appparently there.
The 1850 census shorws Bedent E. ,son of Ezekiel being bn. in N.Y
Bedent Sr. traveled a little farther west,Schoharie <co, N.Y. and Ezekie
and Samuel
went south to N.C. where they were found living next to each other along
the Watauga River, and where they petitioned the state to create a new
county, Three Rivers .
Bothof their sons names were also on the petition.

Just some more food for thought

Fred
