Thanks for your kind words, Redell. Dan and I think that Garrett Wood, died 1795 is the
Father of our John Wood Sr, bornca 1764 who married Avis Baird/Beard, but so far we
haven't been able to prove it. [George Reed was an executor of his Will along with
Richard Smith] I am working hard on Mr Kluttz in NC to finish up the land deeds and
plot map of neighbors in Davidson County. As soon as I get ahold of it, I will send
copies to anyone who's interested. They certainly were all neighboring land holders:
Baird, Reed, Green, Hunt, Wood, etc. I have summarized all the land deed abstracts in
the area. Dan has a copy. Would you like one?
I would love you to check anything about the Wood Family: Garrett, Isom, John, Wilson
in the Reeds crossroads Baptist
Church. Garrett Wood might be buried there (we don't know where) except I also think he
might have been a Loyalist.
Do you have a subscription to Jo White Linn's Rowan County Register? To Lee R Blackburn:
thanks a million for sending the Wills of Josiah and Reuben! for Smith Co., Tennessee.
