Hi Cousin Lisa,

Well, you got lucky. I have a lot on your line although I don't have any
of the children of Susan Loyal Baird & James T. Murphy. Mt. Pinson is
now Pinson. Susan Loyal Baird was the daughter of Robert Bedford Baird
and Nancy Catherine McGuire. Robert Bedford was a farmer. I don't have
anything on him being a preacher. He was in Co. C of the 19th Alabama
Regiment and was wounded in the War of Southern Independence. I have
Xerox copies of a couple of pictures of him, including a group picture of
him and several of his daughters. Susan Loyal is probably in this
picture. Do you have any pictures of her so we can compare? Robert
Bedford Baird's parents were Robert Baird (not Robert Samuel Baird who
was his grandson) and Susan Tatum. Robert Baird's parents were James
Baird and Sarah Wade, who lived in Halifax County, VA from 1789 to 1805,
where Robert was born. I'm still researching the parents of James Baird.
Sarah Wade was the daughter of Robert Wade, Jr. and Ann Stokes. The
Stokes line goes back to the 11th century. Susan Tatum's parents were
Edward Tatum, a Revolutionary War soldier, and Martha Daniel.

I'd be happy to share information with you. I'd like to get what you
have on Susan Loyal Baird's descendants. I'm the great-grandson of
Edward James Baird who is Robert Bedford Baird's brother.

Bruce Baird
