Haven't forgotten about you. Picked up tons of papers finally today from my
mom's. Went through 200 papers so far today about this baby Joseph born 1764
in Falling Springs. Boy were these high rollin' Bairds!!! They come down the
Ohio River on flatboats in 1779-80 and pass Virginia and into Kentucky. This
Joseph around 15 years old is with 1000 settlers from Pa. Thomas (his brother
and James) Baird founded Bardstown, Kentucky. Charles, Thomas's son marries
the President of the United States's daughter, catherine tyler. This baby
Joseph's older brother, Samuel was a famous surveyor that drew the first map
of Louisville, Ky where I was born!!! Anyway, I think and a Mrs. Ruggles
obviously thought that this was our Joseph. I'll get back to you as I go
through papers
