Hi gang,
I went home to Ozark Mo. for my Hall reunion and met a
lot of "lost" Halls. Funny, they thought I was the one who
was lost. I did get some information I'm sure I would not
have gotten if I hadn't gone.
Any way I still can't get my cousin to get it touch
with the lady who did a Blevins/Baird genealogy several
years ago. She says her mother knows the lady and where
lives and my aunt says she doesn't know what the heck
my cousin is talking about. Ahhhhhhhhh. There I feel
better. If anyone in the Kimberling City, Mo. area knows
anyone who lives on "E" highway in Stone Co. who is a
cousin who was married to someone's half brother who might
have been a Baird or a Blevins, that's her. :-) Just
kidding I don't have a clue who this lady is.
I'm still writing everything on post-it-notes because
I can't get my FAMILY TREE MAKER to load. So if I owe you
a return e-mail rattle my cage again. Has anyone else had
a problem with that program? Any hints?
John C. you just keep quite. :-)
I did have one VERY nice find. I have been looking for
a lady who turns out to have been my babysitter when I
was very young. I always had thought she was a relative
and I had her name wrong. All I really remembered was
I loved her like a sister. Once when I was very sick I
asked my mother to get her. She stayed with us a month
untill I got well. I am very happy to tell you I found
Lula Fay Kirby-Smith-Guerin. It's been almost 50 years
but she remembered me right away. I met one of her
daughters who said "I've heard about you all my life"
I can't tell you all how much that meant to me. It must
be like finding your birth mother.
It took me over 30 years to find Fay and less than
2 months to find 4 lost generations. Aren't computers
wonderful?

Happy hunting all.

Nancy
