When you see "Military" county under land grants as the description for a Ky.
county from 1797 what does that mean? Joseph Baird was granted 888 acres in
1797 and it says "Military" for the county . Help if you can anyone! still
on a quest for Joseph. Ancestry.com is of course as you all know free for
the next few days and I am having fun looking at land and probate records in
