This was sent to me by Dan Price: " Here is a piece I ran across on
the internet:"

Avis Bowne was born about 1707 in Topenemus Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Her parents were possibly Andrew Bowne and Anna Seabrook. From Some
Bowne Footprints in the Sands of Time by Donald W. Bowne.
This small book only lists 2 children, both sons: Nehemiah and Peter.
Peter later was named as
co-executor with Avis by her husband. It seems highly likely that she
was his sister.

This looks like the probable parents of Avis Bowne who married John
Baird Jr.
