I am confused by your message. I am glad to have people out there to
connect with for this surname. I am only one person, but with others
helping in the search and sharing what they find, I am able to make
connections which is a great feeling when it happens. I belong to other
rootsweb lists too and have had tons for success, it doesn't happen all
at once, but that is what keeps me going, a crumb here, a crumb there,
it is one of the the best thing I've found, and it gives me hope to know
I am not alone.
As far as people selling via this list, I have never seen anything like
that. I don't think it would be appropriate and if you see something
like that, you should notify the list manager and let them know.
Don't give up on this service. Hang in there and give it a chance.
