Hi Dottie,
I find Jacob Baker on the tax lists of Madison County, KY in 1789, 1790,1793,
1794, 1795, 1796, 1797, and 1799.
I find Jacob Baker marrying Anney Turner in Madison County 12 NOV 1791
I find Jacob Baker marrying Mary Early in Madison County on 24 AUG 1796
Also, I find a will of Jacob Baker in Madison County dated 30 JAN 1874, to
wife Nancy and children Ellen and James J.
There are several deeds in Madison County during this period involving a
Jacob Baker.
These are isolated facts I jotted down while searching for data on my gggf
Jehu Baker, who lived in Madison County 1793-1799. If you find his name
anywhere, I hope you will let me know. I make no interpretation of these
data, except to note that there may have been more than one Jacob Baker in
central KY during this time period. Madison County is about 50 miles south of
Nicholas County, but these early settlers moved around quite a bit.
e-mail me directly if you think these facts might relate to your ancestor.
