Richard of Milford Connecticut;
Barabas b after 23 jjJuly 1665 in Milford. His misfortunes commenced before
his birth. He was a posthumous child, and as the law stood in Connecticut
then, was not entitled to nor did he recieve, in distribution, any share
of the large estate of his father, Richard.
Barnabas first mar. Sarah Buckingham of Milford , dau of Samuel who was son
of Thomas , one of the first settlers. She was born
8 Jan 166 4/5, and her mother was Sarah Baldwin, dauof Timothy Baldwin,
first settler of Milford and mar. 14 Dec 1663. She died before 3 Dec 1692 ,
as per the will of her father of that date, where as her fahter in his
will remembers the husband, Barnabas, and oldest and youngest children,
Thomas and Barnabas) of his deceased daughter.
Barnabas soon marries again on 1 Jul 169 8/9, he and Mary his wife are to
recieve full communion in Milford church, and his first 4 children, Thomas
bap. 1 Jan 169 8/9, Barnabas bap 1 Jan 1069 8/9, Timothy b 1685, bap. 1
Jan 169 8/9, Mary bap. 1 Jan 169 8/9; died before May 1740, no
children.
Barnabas will, dated 5 May 1740, and proved 19 Oct 1741, gives his wife,
Abigail, " trenty schillings, besides what is hers joynture".
Barnabas departed life 22 Aug 1741 at 76 yrs of age.
Other children were, THeophilus bap. 22 Oct. 1699
Henry bap. 14 June 1702; died before May 1740 , no children.
Henry has gradusted from Yale College in 1726 and as per account kept there
died the next yr.
Sylvanus b 17 Sept. 1706, bap. 15 Nov 1706.
There was no name other than Mary for her and no other name other than
Abigail for third wife. No marriage dates were found, no birth date for
Barnabas found either......
There is more on this line with the children except Mary and Henry and more
on Barnabas activities and his siblings giving him land etc due to the fact
he was left out of his fathers will.
Maybe you had some of this , I don't know but here it is anyway.
I am stuck on Wesson H Baldwin b 1817 in NY and his brother Walter William b
1830 in n NY. So you have faired better than I looking for 15 yrs.
