Found some intereseting information on this BALDWIN family line....looking
for possible confirmation or connections to this family line........

this is the Will of FRANCIS RAWLINGS of Anne Arundel Co.MD....the will is
probated 25 Jan 1794 and recorded as final 30 Jan 1823 in Nelson Co.KY:

ITEM: I give & bequeath unto my Grand Sons & Grand Daughters Edward, Elinor,
Thomas, Lurana, Francis and Lidia BALDWIN, children of my Daughter Sarah
Baldwin, deceased one hundred pounds current money equally to be divided
between them.

Then yesterday I got this information on that family line:


Sarah RAWLINGS (b. 13 Dec 1749 in Anne Arundel Co., MD), dau. of Francis
RAWLINGS (b. 11 Sep 1720; d. 17 Jan 1794) and Luranah TUCKER, married
James BALDWIN, probably in A.A. Co., MD. They had at least six children:
Edward (m. Mary Marriott); Ellender (m. Rezin Chaney); Thomas; Luranah
(m. John Bryan); Francis (b. 27 Nov 1777, d. 26 May 1836, m. Sarah
Duvall, m. Mary Sewell); and Lydia (b. 1781, m. John Sewell).

Francis RAWLINGS' parents were John RAWLINGS (b. ca. 1690, d. 13 Jan
1727) and Eleanor RIDGELY (d. ca. 1727). John's parents were Richard
RAWLINGS and Jane (?) and Eleanor's were William RIDGELY and Elizabeth
(?).

Others notes that might be of interest: Sarah RAWLINGS' brother Francis
RAWLINGS, Jr. married Sarah HALL (I descend from this couple). Sarah
HALL RWLINGS married as her second husband Henry BALDWIN, brother of
James BALDWIN. Also, in his notes for Sarah RAWLINGS BALDWIN's brother
Thomas RAWLINGS appears the following: "About 1798, Joseph, Jonathan,
and Luranah (Brown), the brothers and sister of Thomas [and of Sarah
RAWLINGS BALDWIN], moved their families to northern Kentucky. Thomas and
his family probably moved to Kentucky also, however, the records in
Kentucky don't actually support this liklihood."

James BALDWIN's parents were Edward BALDWIN and Sarah
MEEKS.

Another Baldwin researcher and I would like to find more evidence that this
is indeed out BALDWIN family line......Our THOMAS BALDWIN b. ca1760? m.
MARGARET SPARR.....some of their children were born in MD....some in KY....we
know for sure that they lived in Nelson Co.KY....then the family or most of
it migrated to Owen Co. IN.....sometime 1820-1830's.....Hoping that someone
else will have information on this family to share with us too....
