Where was his brief stay in missouri? I have E.J. (aka E.G.J.) BALDWIN
br.ca 1816, NY and he went ( cannot actually find him) to OHIO married
Elizabeth(???Bennett??? 13 Aug 1846, Rome? Athens Co. OHIO per licence and
name is supposed to be noted in an obit of his daughter ANNIE Baldwin Smith)
And one child was born in Ohio in 1848, then he is found on the cenus
inBonaparte, Harrisburg twp, Van Buren Co. IOWA in 1860 then moved his family
to Benmton Co. Missouri by the 1870 Census.

I have found several other Baldwins who are in Benton Co. who are also from
NY but cannot match them up with mine, though I suspect that they are
probably directly related to E. J. BAldwin

I found a CHARLES BALDWIN in Van Buren Co. IOWA 1860 census
br. ca 1818 OH
wife Rachel br. ca.1817 VA
occupation: Attorney
( note I thought that he had moved to Benton Co. MO, but I cannot find that
information at the moment)
