I'm not sure whether you are asking about immigration/emmigration records
or records of ancestors who have already been traced back to their
homes in England.

I don't know a lot about migration records (someone with more experience in
that area should be able to help). For English documents and sources such as
parish registers and wills, there is no single repository covering the whole
country. I recommend looking at http://www.genuki.org.uk which gives a lot
of information and includes links to various record offices etc. (although
when
I tried to access the site today, I couldn't).

A lot of documents can be ordered on film through the Family History
Centres of the LDS Church (the catalogue is on-line at
http://www.familysearch.org/Search/searchcatalog.asp).
