Hello Sue
Noticed your mention of Waterford, Ireland.
I am trying to trace information about a William BALDWIN who was born c1809
in Waterford. He is my great great grandfather.
He enlisted in the 36th Regiment of Foot in 1831 and at that time he was
described as a tailor in the Parish of St. John's in the County of
Waterford.
He married Sarah SHIEL(DS) c1837 in Nenagh, County Tipperary.
After discharge the family came out to New Zealand in 1852.
Do you have any knowledge of my William?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
David STEVENS
Wellington, New Zealand
