Hi Baldwins,
I know there has to be relatives out there. J. P. is either
John or Joseph Philander BALDWIN, b Feb 1836 in New Jersey. One
census says New York but family records say NJ. He married Mary MCCAY
b in Ireland Jul 1841 in NJ and my grandmother Martha Jane was born in
Union, Union Cty, NJ , 24 Oct 1868.
Sometime between 1868 and 1875 they moved to IN where a son
John Jay was b Mar 1875. They lived in either Lake or Porter cty.
Martha Jane married Joseph Baird and they lived in Leroy and retired
from farming to Crown Point.
All are buried in Winfield Twp. Salem Cemetery.
