great while for this information. He was born in 1790 in or around Ashe
County North Carolina, or maybe the Washington District of Virginia. He
married a "Polly" Mary Munkres in 1812 in Washington, VA. She is the
daughter of William Munkres and Rebecca Pendleton. They all traveled to Mo.
on a wagon train shortly after they were married.
