Subject: [BALTGEN-L] Cemetery photo's in the snow

I was recently in Columbus OH, went to several cemeteries in Mt. Vernon. If
there had been no snow on the ground most of the photo's would not have
turned out. The stones were engraved, so I brushed snow into the grooves and
wa...la...you could read the letters and take great photo's. Now I will say
that I had a hard time in the last cemetery I visited. the snow had been
blowing and many of the upright stones were completely covered. When I
didn't find the folks I was looking for I had to start sweeping them off. It
was very cold....and just as I was about to give up, I cleaned off the right
stone. I was thrilled that I had prevailed even if I was nearly frozen.
Don't let the snow deter you unless it's a really big cemetery and you're
not sure where to look. I'm really thrilled with my photo's.
