The COUCH maillist has been doing DNA testing for some time now. You might
want to look in the archive to see when/how the DNA
testing began and more recently, the results. Apparently there are several
COUCH lines. The DNA testing is giving results to point back to the
appropriate COUCH ancestor(s). Your next question is how do they know the
DNA of those multiple COUCH lines? The answer has to do with "proven"
COUCH ancestry...then DNA of a descendant, through the male line. However,
I've seen somewhere there is a female DNA testing also, but not on the COUCH
mail list.
