My parents (Apollonia Knebl and Jakob Soni) and brothers and sister were
born in Hodschag in the Batschka and fled to Germany in 1944. My great
great great great grandfather Josef Knebl (and possibly his brothers
Johann and Blasius) was one of the original German settlers in Hodschag.
He was born in Littenweiler/ Schwarzwald in 1732 and died in Hodschag in
1785. His parents were Christian Knebl and Maria Millerferli. Where do I
go to research Christian and Maria? Your help is appreciated.

Also researching Csjaka (from Hodschag and Futok), Soni (from Weprovatz),
and Weber and Wolf from Hodschag.
