My grandfather left from Ernsthausen, Austria Ungary by himself since he
jsut missed his cousins leaving by a few days and he took a wagon to the
Danube then went up the Danube until around Tuttlingen, Germany and then
caught a train until he got to the Rhine and he took it north and he
ended up in Bremen in July of 1907 and then telgraphed his parents in
Ernsthause ( near Gross Betsekerek) and then arrived at Ellis Island in
October 1907. My grandmother came over in 1910 and she and her two
Aunts and their husbands left from Klek near Katrinfeld, Sigmundfeld,
Erstahusen, Sarca, and Gross Betsekerek and took their ship from Antwerp
to Eliis Island then took a train to St. Louis, MO
