Sylvia;
There are three books available on Gr Jetscha.
The more recent(1997) by Appel, Bayer and Dohr is largely;
l. a list of known Gr Jetschaers with addresses,
2. a list of Gr Jetschaers remaining in the ortschaft
3. a list of Gr Jetschaers(for some obscure reason from the Billed
grundbuch) in 1913---without haus numbers.
4. Aside from some photos, it ends with an extensive series of Banat
recipes----including, I might add, a palatschinken(pfannkuchen) recipe
which makes enough to feed an army.
The other book---no date but probably 1991---by Appel, Dohr and Weber is
laid out like a classical heimatbuch, having sections dealing with the
usual catagories. Although all areas are coverd, history of the Dorf,
commerice, the church, agriculture, the school, etc they are done so in
a very abbreviated fashon. There is a table(undated but probably
1944/1945) of surnames with house numbers, a list of those Banaters
still living in Gr Jetscha (1991) with haus numbers, tables of those,
with birth year, who were deported to the USSR and the Baragen
(1951-1956). There are a fair number of photos but most from more
recent times.
Copies of these two books can be obtined from;
Dr Reinhold Appel

A familienbuch for Gr Jetscha is described in the literature lists on
the genealogy.com site but, of course, ir only covers the same time
period as the available microfilm.
