Perhaps someone will have an idea on how to bridge a gap of about 30 years.
My Grandmother, Effie Streit, was born in 1887 in what is now Vrsac
(Werschetz) Yugoslavia. The FHC records end in 1830. Given the fact that
she was the last child, third daughter, her parents, John Streit and Helen
Baston, were probably born in about 1860. What can I do or where can I look
to find information on the birth/marriage of my Great Grandparents? I do
not have the names of either of my GGGrandparents or any siblings for my
GGrandparents. All 3 daughters settled in Chicago, Illinois, while their
parents remained in Vrsac.

Any help on my next step would be greatly appreciated.
