I have a big problem that I hope somebody can help me with.

My great grandparents names were told to me as Ray. They were born in
Arad, Hungary, or so I am told. Their children were born in Joxsvaffalva,
Hungary.

I looked at a baptismal certificate from one of the kids and their name was
spelled Rey and the land in Joxsvaffalva was recorded as Ray.

I searched the micro film from that time period from that area and could
not find them. I am wondering if their name was changed and if so what to.
Without knowing the proper spelling I can't even search for
natukralization papers.

They came over in 1904 and came through US to Canada.

Can anyone help me. Thanks.
