Subject: [BANAT-L] Location of village of "Eyres"

The naturalization documents of an ancestor I'm researching list his place
of birth as Eyres, Hungary. His wife was naturalized several years later,
and she lists the birthplace as Romania.

Hungary or Romania, I have been unable to find anything remotely resembling
"Eyres" which is typed on most of the documents. It is handwritten in one
place and could be "Egres" or "Egru" or simply bad handwriting!

Anyone have any ideas?
