I don't know if I'm going in the right direction by writing to you. I
am very new at Hungarian genealogy. My grandmother, Susan MAJOROS was
born in Vilmany in 1878. According to family lore, her father was
Burgermeister (sp?) of the town.

She emigrated to the US in 1888. In 1891 (?) she married John KEREKES
originally from Fony, Hungary. They lived in So. Norwalk, CT.

Could you advise which mailing list would include the towns of Vilmany
and Fony? I'd appreciate any information you can supply.
