To all listers interested in food. I found a source of plum and apricot
Lekvar in St. Louis. It can be found at Jay International Market on S.
Grand. We made the coffee cake found in June Meyer's cookbook using the
plum Lekvar and it was "ausgezeichnet"! If you live in the St. Louis area
you will find many Hungarian/German items at Jay International including
many styles of pepper relish etc. such as Lesco, found in many Hungarian
recipes. I don't have the phone number for Jay International but perhaps
they would ship. Just an idea.
