Hello, Dave:

I follow the Banat-L more or less closely.

Today, I see you answered a question posed by Freidhelm with respect to
"Kirchenbuecher". (I assume that KB is short hand for that term.) What
exactly are "Kirchenbuecher"? Am I correct in assuming that they are
"Churchbook" rosters, that list members names? My German is somewhat limited.

My grandparents, Peter and Elizabeth (Reiter) Bohland, left Mramorak around
1904 ? and I have some information from there, including a pamphlet that
describes a sermon given in the church when it was still in existence. (It
was burned down, I was told, by the communist partisans after WWII, although
it may have burned down accidently.)

My cousins, Lois Livingston and Physliss Roerig, both subscribers to
Rootsweb, have completed a substantial geneology of the Reiter and Bohland
families.
