Regarding your post below. My greatgrandmother was from GrossSanktNiklaus
Anna Roos/Roosz b. 5-29-1849 m. Jakab Leber.
They immigrated to St. Louis in 1903.
We think they had 9 or 10 children.
The following are my gg, ggg, and gggg grandparents Roos/Roosz names I know
of, all from GSN=GrossSanktNiklaus=NagySenztMiklos.
Johann Roos b 6-9-1813 d 11-13-1879 m. 11-30-1831 Catharina Czenser, 10
children
Joannes Roos b 5-18-1791 d ? m. 7-16-1809 Anna Czahn/Zahn 4 known children
Philipp Roos b & d ? ... m. 1-18-1785 Anna Maria Adam..only know 1 childs name
I know the names for the children mentioned above of my ancestors, maybe
there could be a connection there.
Please let me know.

I am researching the following:
VOLZ/WOLTZ/WALTZ (by 1868); TISCH (by 1890); LOCH (by 1887); ROOS (by 1835);
BAUMAN (by 1842) all in Nagy-Szent-Miklos, Torontal County, Hungary
SCHUSSLER/SCHISSLER (by 1871) Torontal County, Hungary.
TABOR (by 1878) Pardany, Torontal County; (by 1900) Toba, Torontal County; &
(by 1905) Nagy-Toszeg, Torontal County.
KOVACH (by 1879) Szecsenfalva, Torontal County; (by 1900) O'Lecz, Torontal
County.
SCHABEL (by 1876) Nagy-Toszeg, Torontal County.
SCHUSTER (by 1874) Hajfeld (Nagy-Toszeg), Torontal County; (by 1905)
Szent-Hubert, Torontal County.
Most of the family members immigrated to the United States in the early
1900's, settling in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI, St. Louis, MO & Lehigh,
Montgomery & Philadelphia Cos., PA. Some family members remained in Hungary
and their descendants are residing in Timisoara, Romania. Some of the WALTZ's
& ROOS' that remained in Hungary are buried in a Catholic cemetery in
Sannicolau-Mare, Romania (1950's).
Thank you!
