Dear Listers

I have recently obtained an obit for my grandfather by marriage. His
wife would become my grand mother later.
I have been trying to identify her last name. In the obit (which is
typed) it appears to be spelled GAFFKL.
Does anyone recognize this name or maybe another spelling? On her
death certificate it states that her father was born
in the Chicago area as was her birth place.
