It's a good idea, if you don't mind more of my jokes. :>)

Seriously, I am the "List Mom" for 2 lists and both are set up so that
all replies go to the whole list. It has it's good and bad points. To
its advantage, we all share information. If the reader isn't interested,
the delete key is always handy. But, one has to be doubly careful what
they respond to. I can tell you that on more than 1 occasion, I have
sent something to the list that I didn't mean to. Thanks to all of you,
I'm learning to be more careful and this is a tolerant list. I think
many will make a few mistakes in the beginning but there is much to
gain.

I've learned many interesting and helpful things from the list in the
few short months I have belonged. Would any one benefit if we each sent
every message privately? I think not for there would be no list. What a
shame that would be. I'm all for Steve's idea and he Alex will
personally come over and beat me with a wet noodle if I send any more
jokes so I promise to be good.
