Did your ancestors come from Banat to the US or direct from Odessa?
If they never been in Banat, maybe you didn't realised, that this is the
Banater Forum and maybe this is why you haven't heard from anybody yet. Mind
you there were Weinberger's in Banat.
If your ancestors came direct from the Odessa area, maybe the www.GRHS.com
might be more helpful to you on your research. There are many little
villages around Odessa. e.g. Gueldendof, Klein-Liebental, Gross-Liebental,
Karlstal, Freudental, Peterstal, Josephtal, Mariental, Neuberg, just to name
a few.
This might be of interest to you for future reference: "WEINBERGER, Peter
Phil., born 1763, wife Maria Emnet from Zeiskam/Germersheim-Pfalz went to
Rastadt/Odessa (Russ.) in 1809. Travelling with them were their sons:
Joseph (11), Johann (10), ADAM (6), and Mathias (3).
STEIN, Jakob, from Haegen/Zabern-Elsace, in 1804 went to
Klein-Liebental/Odessa.
STEIN, Peter, from Salmbach/Seltz-Elsace, in 1803, went to
Klein-Liebental/Odessa.
STEIN, Stefan, from Klimbach/ Weissenburg-Alsace, to Odessa district.
These are just a few names.

My grandma was the only one born in the United States (1901). They lived in
Glen Ullin, ND ADAM was born 11/27/1855 in the Ukraine and died 10/1927.
ANNA was born 7/4/1860 in Russia and died 1/13/1945. I would greatly
appreciate any information or help, anybody might have. Thank you.
