Hello, All, I'm new to this list. Would appreciate any advice.

My Grandmother Magdalena Anna Weinz was born 15 Jan 1896 in Brückenau,
Hungary (now Pischia, Romania), died 10 Nov 1972 in Bronx, New York City.
Her Father was Johann Weinz, born 1868, no info where, died 9 Apr 1939 in
College Point, Queens, New York City. Her Mother was born Anna Feith in
1877, no info where, and died 1 Jan 1951 in College Point, Queens, New York
City. Their other children were Elizabeth, born abt. 1894; Katarina, born
18 Oct 1899; and John, born 23 Dec 1902. They were farmers in Brückenau,
and came to New York City about 1907.

Anna Feith's parents were Casper Feith and Susanna Petz.

In 1918 Katarina Weinz married John Maurer, whose parents were Peter Maurer
and Elizabeth Schmies. The Maurers also came to New York City from
Brückenau. Magdalena Anna Weinz was baptized in the Catholic church in
Brückenau on 16 Jan 1896 by Pastor Franz Krinitsch (my best guess at the
handwriting on the certificate), with a Magdalena Schmies as sponsor.
Don't know what relationship this Magdalena Schmies was, but it indicates a
possible previous relationship between these families in Brückenau.

Would much appreciate any advice or suggestions as to how I could get any
additional information. Would be happy to share any info I have (which
isn't a lot so far!) Would be delighted to hear from any relatives.
