When I grew up in a small village, not in the Banat, but in the black forest, it
was very usual that I called the mans and womens which helped for example in the
harvest 'Onkel' and 'Tante'.
The people had to help, and they did, each other independant if there was a
family relations or not. They lived close together and helped each other to make
life easier.
