Good Morning Robert,

Another of my silly questions, I'm reading your posts, and am
wondering......how are you defining the difference between a "distinct ethnic
group" and " a geographic subgroup of ethnic Germans"? They seem the same to
me. In history would their function be different? Would the attitude of the
community been different towards them?
I ask this in an effort to compare the attitudes towards my grand parents
here in the United States...
Thanks,
Becky Miller

Hi Carsten,

That's an interesting topic, can we consider the Donauschwaben /
Donaudeutschen / Danube Swabians as a distinct ethnic group, or are they
just a geographic subgroup of ethnic Germans?

I'm open to suggestions.
