It is my understanding that among the aims of the Banat list is a search for the unbiased truth concerning the fate of Ethnic-Germans in Banat 1933-1952, including the most important factors that brought to their tragic end. I am sorry if the truth is painful for a few of the members who prefer to keep their eyes closed. Their whitewashed "we did nothing, we are innocent" and "commies are guilty for everything" Donauschwabian fake phantasm was their safe heaven for a bit too long.
If we exclude authentic, still alive ex-Nazi-Jugend leftovers, and the arm-chair crypto-Nazis, what we have are ex-Nazi`s (frustrated) family members. I kind of sympathize with their handicap. It is really awful to realize that good old grandpa was actually a bestial mass murderer. For that reason I do not particularly mind their unsigned rubbish messages (did you notice that my messages are signed properly, with my full name, address and phone number?). I guess that the list might, from time to time, be sporadically used by such poor devils as a sort of group-therapy. Why not to help? In that light I will add another tip for them: if your genealogical research failed or doesn`t fit very well, be sure that your family name is false. Good old grandpa was hiding his real name because of his monstrous war crimes, so he gave a false name (or a name of a dead person he knew) to the immigration office (that was German/Swabian easy-to-do common practice 1944-1950`s). So, the best p!
lace for your genealogical research is the archive (of Nazi criminals) of Simon Wiesenthal Center www.wiesenthal.com/
By the way, have you seen a movie "The Music Box" (1989) by Costa Gavras?
Isn`t Jessica Lange really great. www.all-reviews.com/videos-3/music-box.htm
