Thank you so much for the good thoughts about my missing marriage record. I
have looked at Multnomah County Records and I believe the marriage index for
Oregon. The marriage was in 1906 so perhaps the reason is just that they
did not require the recording at that time all over. The certificate that
is framed on my great-uncle's wall is a German Catholic Church certificate.
I have the date and place, I just didn't know why it wasn't listed in
Multnomah County. The explanations (various ones given) were good thoughts
and I appreciate the input greatly.

The more I learn the more relatives I find from the BANAT area. Thanks so
much for the sharing of info. I hope to continue to learn more this next
week!
