This is a good point that Judy brought up. I also have bought family
books but what if they are out of print? Copying them is an option if
you have someone that is able to copy it for you, but if you don't then
how is a person able to have access to these valuable resources if not
through the FHC. Making a copy of one record is wonderfu,l but my
experience has been that you need the whole book, or records, for that
particular village to make connections to your family or different
branches. These books are also difficult to obtain through interlibrary
loan so I agree with Judy. Being able to copy all the records would be
a valuable tool to our research.
