Kuehner surname can be located in a number of places by going to SURNAME
NAVIGATOR:

http://www.rat.de/kuijsten/navigator/

I used the anglicized "ue" instead of the unlauted u. It seems to be a name
that came out of Wuertemburg, Germany, and also on Hessen-Nassau, Preussen
[Prussia]. [familysearch.org]

Also, on genea.net, there are a few from Alsace, as well as the above, and
several for Ohio, a few from Ontario, Canada, etc.

So check these out--hope you get a lead.
