I dont think of you as a moron for one moment nor myself and dont think we should stoop to the level. Thanks for your message. This topic is often discussed (more politely) on several lists. I have read one explanation for the "reply to all" with one going to the originating poster is for the benefit of people who take the digest version of the list. If they ask a question, and they are answered by "reply to all" then they get answers to their question quicker than by waiting hours or until the next day for their digest to arrive.



Regarding double postings: less energy is spent hitting the "delete" key than typing and sending spammy messages to the list calling people names.
