Steve;
Yes, I know they are not listed on the website but I am sure they have them
in stock. Yes, they make very nice Christmas gifts. All my immediate
family who showed any interest in the Banat has a copy on their wall.
The other item which makes a good Christmas gift for those who show an
interest in the Banat is John Michels translation of Nikolaus Engelmann's
book entitled, "The Banat Germans" which can be ordered from the;
University of Mary Press,
7500 University Drive
Bismarck, North Dakota 58504
And for those with Banat ancestors who homesteaded in North Dakota, John
Michels book, "North Dakota Pioneers from the Banat" also makes a great
Christmas gift to your kids and siblings. It is also published by the
University of Mary Press.
My suggestion Steve------
If you are going to Muenchen in Oct take a mailing tube with you and buy up
what ever will fit conviently in the tube----100 copies seems like a lot,
but you'll have to use your own judgment. In the past I have just taken the
tube around to the post office and mailed in back to myself rather than
carry it around with me for the next couple of weeks. If you are going to
be in Muenchen in Oct keep in mind the the fall AKdFF meeting is Sunday 17th
Oct in Sindelfingen in case you can work it into your schedule.
