Mr. R.
I will answer here to your allegations [see Lothar Renard's post to Banat-L
from 17.03.2006] point by point.
Other elements will be made publicly in the future on
http://www.genealogy.ro/cont/fb/triebswetter_fb.htm
We did criticized only one FB [from 50!] before your Triebswetter
Familienbuch; the Wiseschdia Familienbuch. So, you should not talk about
"family bookS" but about A book.
In my message to Banat-L from 21.02.2006 I wrote: ". . . we are convinced
that the FB will be both by people having interest in this village despite
what we will tell them." In fact we wanted only to tell "the interested
parts just a simple fact: for 60 Euros [+ shipping] they will buy a very
poor book. Luckily there is also the CD to double check all the info". We
did not had any other hidden agenda. So, all your suspicions and assumptions
regarding our plans and our huge financial loses are quite hilarious and
false.
Your contribution is not so important because all the info from Triebswetter
Familienbuch were available for the last 40 years as FHL microfilms and the
very interested performed their own research long time a go without waiting
for your book.
I did not buy your book because I received it as a gift from my relatives
living in Germany.
None of the articles on GenealogyRO Group's web site are signed because all
are protected under GenealogyRO Group's copyright.
I speak -also, read, write- in 5 languages and I have the needed Latin
language knowledge to understands the info from the original KB's.
Unfortunately, German is not among these 5 languages. But I have colleagues
at GenealogyRO Group fluent in German language. The fact that you do not
speak anything else beside German is not something you should be very proud
of. And be carefully, the Google translation machine is not quite accurate
and will play you tricks very often!
You are forced to know the basic elements in Latin and Hungarian language
because the original KB's are written in these languages. As we said, "these
are only a few and there is no excuse not knowing their correct meaning".
Nobody asked from you to speak fluently the Romanian language. So, why did
you mentioned it?
You mentioned that: "I DON'T WANT TO ENTER HERE INTO DETAILS ON THE
"GROUP'S" CRITICISM". Why not? Is that because everything in our comment is
true and can be verified very easily by everybody?
I have the microfilms for Pardan, Mados, Moritzfeld, Ortzidorf in my
personal possession and I did worked extensively with them in my own
ancestral research projects. So, I know how hard is sometimes to reach the
correct solution.
In fact, we did salute the appearance of the CD along with the FB. We just
noted the fact that "some of the pictures are useless because they were done
at a very low resolution [and this is something entirely related to your
work], some are too white/"burned" and some of them are even missing".
Das Treffil Buch is not "incomplete / mangelhaft" but USELESS for serious
genealogical research and we did mentioned why in our comment.
In your post to Banat-L you did recognize that:
-you do not have the language skills needed to work a FB;
-your work is not a "scientific work";
-that the resultants of your work are not "accurate and complete".
Finally, only one question: then why do you ask 60 Euros [+ shipping fees]
for this unscientific, incomplete, and false book ?
S o r i n
P.S. Your village's name is written correctly as Triebswetter and not as
"Tiebswetter" as you used in your subject line.
