HOWARD WINSLOW10 BANCROFT (FREDERICK WINSLOW9, CHARLES8, SMYRNA WINSLOW7, SMYRNA6, JONATHAN5, DAVID4, RAHAM3, THOMAS2, THOMAS1) was born July 28, 1909, and died February 1958. He married VERA ALICE HARVEY September 24, 1934.

A funeral for Vera A. Bancroft, 95, of Charlottesville will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St.
Stephen's Episcopal Church in Culpeper. The Rev. Kate Chipps will officiate and burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery in
Massachusetts.
Mrs. Bancroft was the mother of Sally Jane Canavan of Culpeper and the grandmother of Kim Canavan of Fredericksburg.
She died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.
A retired home economics teacher, she was the widow of Howard W. Bancroft.
Besides her daughter and granddaughter, she is survived by another daughter; four other grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Lights of Love,
c/o Culpeper Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Box 2162, Culpeper, Va. 22701; or to the Food Closet, c/o St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church, 115 North East St., Culpeper, Va. 22701.
Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper, is in charge of arrangements.
