I've got a lot of questions saved up:
MORRISTOWN, NJ: Some Gobles helped to start a Baptist church in mid 1700s
in Morristown, NJ. I am looking for marriage records around 1750+ for
BENJAMIN GOBLE to possibly two women, the second of whom would possibly be
MARY FERRELL.
WASHINGTON CO., PA.: The second marriage might have taken place in
Washington County, Pa. at a Baptist church there.
BERKELEY COLONY, S.C.: Also, I'm looking for any Gobles in Berkeley Colony,
S.C. in late 1600s and early 1700s.
The Gobles were converted from Presbyterian to Baptist either while in
S.C. or Morristown, N.J. Well, they might even have converted in
Lancaster, Mass. I know Baptists were not allowed to live in Concord,
Mass. down the road, and one was even hung in Boston in the 1600s. Of
course, this was all before "we" figured out separation of church and
state.
HARDIN/LARUE CO., KY: Also, are Gobles in any Baptist churches in Hardin
(later LaRue) Co., Ky. 1785-1824? Mary Ferrell Goble apparently died here
about 1798. They lived a few houses down from Thomas/Abraham Lincoln.
PERRY CO., IN: Then the Gobles are in Perry Co., IN starting about 1810 to
about 1860 or beyond. Does anyone have church minutes for there?
