Hi Marlene,
Yes I can help you. Mary Pop Blevins was the sister to Rachel Blevins b. 1818 in
Virginia. Rachel was the daughter of Sarah Blevins and unknown Blevins who was
the son of Revolutionary War Veteran James Blevins b. 1751 North Umberland
County, Virginia.
Sarah Blevins and family came to Lawrence County, Kentucky pre 1830 her husband
died either before arriving or after. No one seems to know who he is. We are all
searching.
Sarah and family are listed on the 1830, 1840, Lawrence County Census, they lived
near or next to her daughter Rachel Blevins and William Wilson. About 1841
William Wilson sold his land in Lawrence County, Kentucky and purchased 100 Acres
of land next to his sister Annis Wilson Barker and her husbands Hardin Barker.
The land was in Carter County, in an area called Clifty Creek. Sarah and her
family which at this time about 1850 was living next to William and Rachel.
Rachel Husbands William Wilson (my 3rd great grandfather was the father of Mary's
child whom she named Sarah) They all lived on Clifty for years after until all
died.
I have all the Wilson family, and Blevins, family and Barker family that is
associated with Mary Pop. I do not have all the information on Mary Pop in my
computer at this point. Melissa Miller who is on the Blevins list and is a good
friend and distant cousin has all the information on Mary Pop. So I can send or
you can contact Melissa to obtain her info.
