looking for information on my grandfather Jack Thomas BARKER b 1878 Texas
and still living in 1942 in Dallas, TX. Jack T. BARKER m (?) Wanda V. BROWN
b 1898 in Merkel, Taylor Co, TX and had my father Eugene (Gene)Varnell
BARKER 20 Aug 1920 in Dallas, Dallas Co TX. There is a document attached to
my father's birth cert called "Supplemental Report Filed for ther Purpose of
Adding the Given Name to the Original Birth Certificate" dated Aug 4, 1942,
signed by Jack Thomas BARKER, 2827 Marsalis, Dallas, TX. On my grandmother
Social Security Application 1937 she stated "I am a widow" and then crossed
it out. She reapplied in 1940 for a name change to Fisher which would
indicate she re-married. I have been to LDS Family History Center and had no
luck. Any information or suggestions on how I would proceed to find my
great-grandparents names would be appreciated.
