Garris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her

Grace H. Battaglia, 92, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in the
Vincentian-Regency Hall Nursing Home, McCandless. Survivors include three
sisters, Anna Battaglia, Agnes Battaglia and Josephine Battaglia. She was
preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Battaglia; and two sisters, Mary
Spagnolo and Rita McCord. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Friday in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Shaler. Services
will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic
Church, Hampton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. *

Dorothy L. Bierhals, 65, of Bethel Park, formerly of Scottdale, passed away
Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. Friends will be
received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville,
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the
funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. A committal service and interment will
follow in the Eutsey Cemetery.

Brooks Compliment, 60, of Squirrel Hill, died Tuesday, August, 22, 2000. He
was the son of William and the late Gloria Compliment; father of William and
Paige Compliment; brother of James and Margaret Compliment. In addition,
Brooks is survived by his beloved Bellmont. Friends will be recieved from 7
to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McCABE BROS.,

Elizabeth R. "Betty Rose" Heinl, 76, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in her
home. Born March 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha
Heinl. She was a dancer. Survivors include her sister, Jean Sheppard. Friends
will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME,
1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Shaler, where services will be at 1 p.m. The Rev. Laird
Kroh will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler.

Jay A. Kammerer, 57, died Wednesday Aug. 23, 2000, in St. Francis Medical
Center, Lawrenceville. He was born in April 15, 1943, in Abington. Mr.
Kammerer was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife,
Mildred Miller Kammerer; a daughter, a son, his mother, Louise Richardson;
and three stepsisters, HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME, Hampton.
