Hello Linda,
My name is Davene F. Barnhart McCoy - I just got back off vacation and found
a message on my computer that you had sent. As I am a student, I don't have
much time to do the research that I want to but I have been on the list for
about a year. I found it interesting that you are from Oregon. I was born
and raised in Myrtle Creek Oregon, and am now residing in Spokane Washington.
My father's name is Charles E. Barnhart, son of James Francis Barnhart who
migrated from Pennsylvania to Colorado with his father, John Clamor Barnhart.
James Barnhart married Florence Dowell McSchooler from Illinois by way of
Kentucky. My father was born in Olathe, Colorado in 1921. As my grandfather
is deceased and my grandfather was always very closed mouthed about why he
left Pennsylvania and about the rest of his family I know very little about
the family. I was wondering if you possibly had any information on this side
of the family. Any help you might be able to give me would be appreciated -
please feel free to forward this to anyone else who might be able to help.
