Hi folks,

I want to apologize to all for being so "quiet" in the past several
weeks. I have been hard at work though revamping the Barton
homepage and setting up a new service for us, the Barton
GenConnect pages. I invite all of you to visit the new Barton
homepage and the Barton GenConnect pages, which I will explain
a bit about in just a little bit. There is a new "submit a suggestion"
area for our Barton page that will allow you to comment on the site,
suggest additions and post queries. There is also a new logo for
Rootsweb (javascript capable browsers only) that will take you to
the main Rootsweb site. I hope that you will post any additions
and let me add them to the site.

The GenConnect boards which have recently been set up for the
Barton list, are a suite of seven "web boards" that will allow all of
us to post queries and records for others to obtain and use. The
boards include one for queries only, and one each for bible records,
pension records, biographies, obituaries, deeds and wills. I hope
you will enjoy these new boards as much as I do.

Please feel free to comment on the new boards and make
suggestions of what you would like to see from the Barton surname
list, page, and web boards.
